What is your resistance to weight loss?

Whenever we are aiming for a big change such as weight loss, we obviously need to change our lifestyle and eating habits. This is when we start making excuses. But you have to remember that excuses will take you nowhere. Excuses won’t help you to lose weight; diet and exercises will do. If you really want to lose weight, you need to be thoroughly disciplined. If you dig deeper into the kind of excuses you make, you will see that some of them are just baseless.

What you need to know is how to stop making excuses and reach your weight loss goal fast.

To save themselves from the rigors of diet and exercise, people tend to make various excuses. If you ask them to exercise, they will say that it is too boring and that they don’t feel comfortable doing it; still others will pronounce that they haven’t got any time for exercise because they have got to juggle with a family and a job. If you ask them to diet, they will say that they don’t have any time to cook those healthy meals or that it is too boring. Even though people want to lose weight, they don’t want to take the necessary action because of the fear of failure; hence the lame excuses.

The first thing you need to do is to find out the reason behind your excuses. Are they plain, lame excuses or are there valid reasons behind them? Do you want to do things in a better way? Unless there is a valid reason behind your excuses, they are just ways to procrastinate; therefore, unless you get rid of those excuses, you can never really lose any amount of weight.

A saying goes that you become what you think. If you continuously fill up your mind with negative thoughts of failure, how can you expect yourself to be successful? You should instead think positive. You should think about the nice things that will happen in your life once you lose weight and become slimmer. Just because others have failed to lose weight doesn’t mean that you will get the same results as well!

As for the excuse of not having time for exercises, try to think for a while: do you really want to lose weight badly? When we need something very badly, we always find time for it. So if you are not finding time for your workouts, maybe that you really don’t want to lose weight that badly. Remember that if you want to shed off your pounds, you will HAVE to find time for exercises. You will have to make exercises as important as your other important activities.

If you are getting overwhelmed with the current weight loss program, look for a change. If you think that it is too hard to lose weight, then you can join an online support group where you will get plenty of encouragement and help from your peers. You can also take clinically proven weight loss supplements such as Proactol(tm). Make sure to consult your doctor before taking any weight loss supplements, as even the best supplements can have harmful side effects on your health if your body fails to adjust itself to the medicine.
